Your data

Cookies

What we store on your device, why, and how you can change your mind.

What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small piece of data a website stores on your device. We use cookies and similar technologies (such as localStorage) for two purposes only:

  • Strictly necessary — to make the site work, including remembering your cookie consent choice itself.
  • Analytics (optional, with your consent) — to understand how the site is used so we can improve it.

What we use

Strictly necessary

We store one entry in your browser's localStorage under the key cee-cookie-consent. It records your category choices and the timestamp. Without it we'd show you the cookie banner on every visit. This is the only thing we store unless you opt in to analytics.

Analytics — Google Analytics 4 (only if you accept)

With your consent we load Google Analytics 4 to measure things like page views, traffic sources, and how long visitors stay. GA4 sets cookies prefixed with _ga and _ga_*, valid for up to two years. We anonymize your IP address and never sell or share this data.

Analytics — Vercel Analytics (only if you accept)

With your consent we also load Vercel Analytics, our hosting provider's privacy-friendly traffic counter. It is cookieless: it generates an ephemeral, daily-rotating hash from your IP address and User-Agent to recognize a session, then discards both. No persistent identifier is set on your device and none of this data is shared with third parties.

If you reject analytics, neither script is loaded and no analytics cookie or beacon is ever sent from your device. You can verify this in your browser's DevTools → Application tab and Network tab.

What we do not use

  • No marketing or advertising cookies.
  • No third-party trackers beyond Google Analytics (and only if you opt in).
  • No social media pixels, retargeting, or behavioural profiling.
  • No fingerprinting.

Change your preferences

You can change your cookie choice at any time. Reopen the preferences panel below. If you revoke analytics, refresh the page and Google Analytics will no longer load.
